About me

More than 20 years of osteopathy experience

I am Hicham Boulaamani, an osteopath in Rabat. I have practised since 2005, with a career built across France, Canada and Morocco.

Six years of training in France

I completed six years of full-time osteopathy training at the Institut Supérieur d’Ostéopathie Paris-Est in Lognes, France.

This training gave me an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics, as well as a wide range of osteopathic techniques.

My practice includes structural, fascial, visceral and craniosacral techniques.

It also taught me to observe, listen and analyse, and above all to recognise when osteopathy is appropriate and when a referral to a doctor or another health professional is needed.

From France to Canada, then Morocco

I started practising in France in 2005, notably in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy, La Roche-sur-Yon and Challans. I then developed my practice in Morocco and also continued my career in Canada.

Working in these different settings has enriched my practice and helped me develop an approach tailored to each patient.

Sports expertise

Experience with recreational and professional athletes

Sport plays an important part in my career. I have had the opportunity to work with:

  • judokas of the Moroccan national judo team
  • the riders of Team Cofidis during the 2011 Tour de France
  • athletes at the Université de Moncton in Canada
  • the ice hockey players of the Moncton Wildcats
  • athletes from football, athletics and basketball clubs

This experience led me to work on pain and discomfort linked to sport, recovery, mobility and optimising athletes’ preparation.

Multidisciplinary work

I have also worked within multidisciplinary teams, in collaboration with doctors and physiotherapists.

My view of osteopathy

An approach tailored to each patient

No technique or approach is the same for everyone. Each session therefore starts with careful listening and an assessment, to understand your situation and decide whether osteopathic care is appropriate.

My aim is to offer personalised care, with techniques adapted to your age, activity, medical history and reason for coming.

Osteopathy does not replace doctors, physiotherapists or other health professionals. When your situation requires it, I believe it is essential to refer you to the most appropriate professional.
